I had my 'studio' lights set up for something else, so I took a few pictures of some of my handguns.

Ruger Redhawk in .41 Mag with Leupold 2X scope and Hogue Monogrips. The trigger has been worked over and it is crisp and light. A proven deer killer that will shoot a ragged hole at 50 yards off a sandbag, but full power loads make this gun more than my arthritic wrist really likes to hang onto.

Smith & Wesson Model 686 (.357/.38) with Hogue Monogrips and a nice trigger job.

I also snapped a quick shot of a couple of blued guns. I was expecting the stainless guns to give me problems with flash 'hot spots', but it looks like the blued guns will be something I need to fiddle with.

S&W K22 Masterpiece (Mod 17-4) and K38 Masterpiece (Mod 14-5), both with trigger jobs and finger grips.

Nice shots John. I know what you mean about hot spots, I
thought stainless would produce more glare too, but matte
stainless sure doesn't shine like polished blue guns to.

I ended up using 3 lights and a white board to reflect even
more to get rid of the shadows and as much glare as I
could.

These shots have a white board (seamless paper) at 12 o'clock, and studio flashes with umbrellas at about 8, 3, and 5 o'clock.

One of these days I am going to spring for a set of studio lights just so I can attempt pictures like this. So far my make do attempts are not doing it for my pictures. the sad part is I was just in the photo shop and saw that I could get a set of lights for around $100 now.
