Well its been awhile since anyone has posted but here goes...
I shot this picture in April of 1987 with a film camera, had a slide made for a contest with the Louisiana Conservationist Magazine that I won a $100 for it.
Yesterday I was converting my negatives to digital pictures and this is the converted negative to digital picture...
I had just gotten a 70-210 lens for my EOS 650 that day in April 1987, and was messing around learning how it worked and it took 35-40 minutes tracking that dragonfly, back and forth as I keeled at the edge of the ditch. The close focus distance was 56" at the 210 setting. Looking through eye piece, I saw what the lens was showing and actually got him on the first shutter. I knew the moment I took it, it was going to be a great shot. When I had it developed, I quickly thumbed through the prints to have a look! That is what I got.
